This was another song that came from some writing I did up in Auckland. I had the basic lyric ideas and a guitar riff when I took it to the boys. Was a fun one to record. Looping up Shauns drums for the verses using 1 kit, then recording him live on his handmade wooden kit for the chorus. We weren't sure how the 2 sections would mesh together - 1 part looped and 1 live but I couldn't be happier with the result. Love Ed's Jupiter pad as well. I've sampled and used it so many times! Louis did a great job helping out with harmonies and backing vocals. So glad we gave him a call that arvo and got him to the studio. Also have to thank Thomas Oliver for loaning me his amazing acoustic guitar. Tone.
The song is about struggling to support my girl through a crisis.

LYRICS
I need you to know
I need you to notice me
He knows doubt better his family
I need you to know
I need you to notice me
You have all I've got to give
My head is screaming
Can't shake this feeling
the tipping point is in my hands about to overflow
silent frustration, heart liquidation
it's time I let you know
He knows doubt better than his family
I need you to know
I need you to notice me
You have all I've got to give

This was the first album I ever listened to as a teenager, and it remains as impressive as I remember it being. I really can't recommend it enough, especially if you're into experimental spacey jazzy hip hop. asherarataki
The use of natural sounds in many of the tracks is truly amazing and lends to the atmospheric elements of this album, completely thought provoking. Aaron C. Hollis
